The Way Out (working title)

Charley lives in a village ruled by the Mirror — a mysterious, silvered force that appears whenever thoughts, words, or actions stray from the rules. The Mirror can inhabit anyone, turning friends into reflections that judge, shame, and pit people against each other. When Charley’s closest friend becomes the Mirror, she experiences betrayal and fear like never before. But in defiance, she learns that the Mirror’s power depends on belief, and that the first step toward freedom is to refuse its control.
